Concentrated solar power (CSP) panels use two different mirrors to focus about 500 times the energy from the sun before the light is directed onto small high efficient solar cell. This small cell got cheaper than big one…. -:), that’s the idea behind. To use pricey materiel sparignly and gain in overall cost. The vast majority of the system “over 95%” is maid either from aluminum or glass. It uses traditionally lowcost and materials
SolFocus Announces that their system is 25% Efficient. SolFocus integrates its CPV panels with its advanced tracking system that continuously aligns the solar array with direct sunlight throughout the day as the sun moves across the sky.
The tracking technology has been developed specifically for S panels, providing a highly integrated and performance-optimized system. The tracking capability of the SolFocus 1100S results in energy generation ideally matched to peak demand periods.

Great post!
No doubt these systems will work well, but they are so far out of the budget of so many people. A more affordable way to generate solar power for your home is to build a solar panel, and it can be done for under $200. Once you start saving money, then you can scale up to one of these pro systems.
Why not use the sun’s energy? It’s there and free.
