The TEC103 is a small portable charger which uses breakthrough power conversion solution. Solar charger boost converted and optimal Li-ion charge controller offers up to 85% efficiency.
TEC103 utilizes the energy dense storage capacity of a primary battery, normally alkaline. This energy is efficiently transferred to the secondary battery upon manual activation or when the auto-start conditions are met. It is most conveniently used to provide continuous operation of mobile battery-powered devices when the main battery depletes. Programmable and variable charge current provides immediate operation of the device and maximizes discharge efficiency of the primary input source.
The exceptional performance and efficiency of Techtium’s TEC103 solar solution is achieved through a combination of system engineering excellence and innovative mixed-signal IC design that meets the highest design objectives of cost & performance.
This IC utilizes a synchronous DC-DC boost converter and optimal Li-Ion charge controller to reach conversion efficiencies of up to 85% of the solar PV power transferred to the Li-Ion battery.
