French Hybrid car – solar electric powered

French company Venturi which is established in Monaco presents a high-performance solar electric powered car called Astrolab. This is really exciting stuff. The car do not need any fossil energy to move. It’s using solar panels to charge a Ni-Mh batteries.

The car is covered with 3,6 m2 of solar cells with the outstanding performance of 21%, allowing enhanced concentration of solar energy, Astrolab is the first high-performance solar vehicle marketed in the world.

Able to move with very little energy (Engine 16 kWp), and recharge the batteries by the sun even when driving, the vehicle of another era.Its NiMH batteries Venturi VIN-7 last generation – with liquid cooling.

Its profile recalls the aqua-dynamic design of great racing yachts.
