New Peugeot Hybrid diesel
There will be a new Hybrid in town….Hybrid4 made by Peugeot.
A Peugeot Hybrid Diesel was announced. The car’s name is Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4
The car will use a system that consists of a conventional 163-horsepower 2.0-liter inline-four diesel engine driving the front wheels and a 37-horsepower electric motor at the rear axle, which operates completely independent of the internal combustion drivetrain. That’s why the name is Hybrid4 … like four wheel drive.
Technical details:
The vehicle’s fuel consumption: 3.8lt/100km (equal to 61.9mpg US or 74.4mpg UK) and CO2 emissions of only 99g/km.
Performances: 0-100km/h (62mph) sprint time of 8.8 seconds and a top speed of 209km/h (130mph).
You can also switch on all four wheel drive mode. Which permits driving with permanent four-wheel drive for slippery surfaces, so the rear wheels are used for traction when the front ones start to slip.

The Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4 will be assembled at Sochaux and Mulhouse plants in France, and sales on the continent are expected to start early next year.
