tesla-roadster Price of Tesla Roadster in Europe could be 150 000 $

Tesla Roadster is making us dreaming. There was others cars before, and there will be others after, but this one is the most spectacular. Well finished, the best one I ever saw. We all love it. But. Since the price in US is about 100 000 $, so with the simple calculation we could convert this price into Euros. And we should obtain something like 70 000 €. (if you count the price for the transport, insurance etc. etc…).

According to president of Tesla, Ze’Ev Drori, the price of the car will be 100 000 € in Europe. To justify himself, he evoked the go and back of the car between England and California. All the assembly of the batteries and the electronics’s stuff is still in US for now. But for more explications…. He justify this choice by the price of gas in Europe. The price of gas in Europe is extremely expensive and the distances driven by the drivers are shorter. So people willing to buy the Tesla Roadster in Europe would want to pay more. One of the first countries in Europe there’ll be possible to buy the Roadster is gonna be Germany, France, Holland, Norway or Denmark.

The English can’t even buy the Roadster, because the company don’t want to develop version for English drivers (sitting on the right). Even if the majority of the car is assembled by Lotus in England…. But we could see another factory in Europe some day in the near future….
